Computer Science, University Of British Columbia Here's the thing about Canadian schools: they simply fail to admit baller applicants. I'm talking about ballers on the level of Micheal Jordan, Lebron James, Steph Curry, etc. They get these amazing applicants (like me), and they throw them out! No wonder their country is rapidly deteriorating (projections show they will soon have one of the lowest HDIs and GDP/Capita in the entire world). Anyways, as an AMERICAN I will be writing my members of congress and encouraging them to liberate Canada by any means necessary.

Electrical Engineering, Penn State University Got an RA offer. Got an unofficial offer from one professor several days before. Very good financial package. University provides health insurance subsidy for student and his dependents.

Computer Engineering, Missouri University Of Science & Technology "After carefully reviewing your admission materials for the Doctorate (PhD) Computer Engineering, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you a place in our program." Contacted two professors there, but finally did not accept their offers. They wanted me to join the Master's program first (with a lower stipend), I did not agree.

Physics, University Of Virginia Got email telling me to check application portal. Saw rejection in the portal. Before applying, I contacted one of the professors, and he showed me his lab through a video call. Of course, he did not give any commitments. I also took the Physics GRE (960).

Civil And Environmental Engineering SDC, Stanford University Still no rep from the department, radio silent again. How about you guys, hope that all of you got the result released. I apply only for this program and this make me felt extremely tired and exhausted. Checked the portal almost everyday, why SDC did not release or at least let me know the result

Computer Science, University Of Colorado, Boulder Applied for professional MS. Low cumulative GPA but high GPA in CS coursework (3.7+) and strong LORs (industry + undergrad prof). I knew it was a long shot but still a disappointing result.

Mechcanical And Aerospace Engineering, University Of California, Davis Marine Bio undergrad. 3 years of mechanical assembly experience. Received letter of rec from professor with whom I took a non-matriculated class. If I can do it, so can you!
